I can't believe that my little Daners is turning 5!!! He (and Ben) have been dying to go skiing again so we decided to head to Sunrise for a skiing/birthday weekend getaway!
As soon as we got there, we went and say The Lego Movie opening night!

We had the theater all to ourselves, but one other family! This is unheard of in Gilbert! We loved it and didn't have to stress too much about the kids getting rowdy.
Today is the day that this little boy has been waiting "fromever" (as he says it) for!!! It is Daners' BIRTHDAY!!! WOOHOO! We woke up in our little cabiney hotel room and opened presents right away!
He got so many fun presents and nice cards from our family and even from his primary teachers! Everyone adores this sweet boy just like we do!
Time to bundle up and go skiing!!! Well this guy won't be skiing (big surprise!), he will be in the childcare. He is equally excited for that;)
Logi was just as excited for the birthday festivities and skiing as Daners was:)

Love this spunky cheeser with twinkling eyes, cutest freckles, and heart of gold with a splash of naughty! This kid keeps us laughing all day long! Truly one of a kind and we are so happy he is ours! Happy Birthday Daney boy! We love you so very much! Now let's have some birthday fun!

Dane was insistent on getting on the chair lift all by himself and riding alone! Silly goose!
He got on like a champ all by himself! One of the hardest parts of learning how to ski checked off right there!
Benny is such a great teacher. He loves sharing this with his boys soooo much!
We miss UT snow, but this will definitely do! Benny will take any skiing time he can get!

Now that they have mastered the bunny hill, it was time to take some runs with mom and dad on the big hills!

We love this tradition of skiing as a family! We had such a blast today and Daners said it was the best birthday ever!
But what's a birthday without cake!?! Make shift birthday cake for the big 5 year old after we went out to dinner.
Also, what's a birthday without balloons?!? he had very specific, but reasonable birthday requirements. All fulfilled!
Luckily no one was staying around us because these boys were a bunch of crazy birthday balloon loving animals!!!
Even Reidy Roo was in on the balloon fun!
Once we got home, the birthday celebration did not end! It was time to party with the Ropes!!!
Daners loved his "real" Lightening McQueen birthday cake!

We had such a fun weekend celebrating our sweet Daners! Happy birthday Dane! We love you SOOOO much!!! Thank you so much to Annette and Brent, Sam and Emily, Ampa, Nygards, Ropers, and his amazing primary teachers for all of the wonderful presents!!!
