Circus Circus

On our way home from the Relay for Life in Cedar City, we thought it would be fun for the kids if we stayed a night at Circus Circus in Las Vegas. We were right, the kids LOVED it!!!

They had a blast riding rides at the Adventure Dome.

 

 Since I am obviously pregnant, the kids had fun waving to me from the rides.

 The boys loved the arcade games and they used their own allowance money for most of the games, which they surprisingly gladly did.

 The carnival games were so much fun because each game was only about $1 and you won a stuffed animal pretty much every game you played. The kids loved those odds!!!

 By the end of the night, the kids had won handfuls of stuffed animals and we only spent around $20!

 After all of the fun, the boys couldn't keep their eyes open at dinner. It was a nice and quiet dinner for Ben and I:)

 On our way out of town, we had to go our favorite Vegas spot...Serendipity!!!

 Frozen hot chocolate...heaven on earth! It was a great way to end a great weekend!:)

 



Relay For Life

Jen's sister-in-law, Marie and her daughter, Jocelyn (and many of her friends), signed "Team Jen" up for the Relay for Life that stopped in Cedar City at Southern Utah University (my old stomping grounds) on April 19-20th. The Relay for Life is an amazing organization raising money for every kind of cancer.  The relay takes place on a school track (in this case it was SUU) and there must be at least one member of your team walking on the track during the entire event which lasts through the night.

We along with many other friends and family, were thrilled to go and support Jen and her fight against cancer.

Jen and Matt (he was also born and raised in Cedar) graduated from SUU and I studied 3 years undergrad there, so it is always fun and nostalgic to visit the old campus and city.

We had all had a great time at the Relay and "Team Jen" raised $1700 that went straight to cancer research!!! Every dollars counts and is helping bring researchers that much closer to finding a cure.

It was about 40 degrees there (VERY cold for us AZ whimps!) and the kids were thrilled to see some old snow patches left behind!!! Beau had no idea what he was touching, but he didn't like it:)

The kids LOVED playing in the old, dirty, icy, leftover snow patches! But hey, these AZ boys will take what they can get!

We are so proud of Jen and her ongoing strength and determination. We know she will beat this and she is definitely not fighting alone!!!

The bouncy slide was, of course, a huge hit with the boys:)

We were so happy that we were able to participate in the Relay For Life and to support Jen. Thanks Marie and Jocey for all of your hard work! It was such a fun event and we look forward to doing it again and again. We love you so much Jen and Roper fam!!!

Logan Lost His Two Front Teeth

Logan's two front teeth have been loose for quite some time, so loose that they were basically sticking straight forward! We kept telling Log to give them a little twist and yank, but he was adamant on letting them fall out completely on their own. So they FINALLY gave up the ghost after hanging by a shred for weeks! 

Logan accidentally dropped one of his teeth and it was no where to be found. He was SO worried that the Tooth Fairy wouldn't leave him money for the missing 2nd tooth, so we decided to write her a note and leave it under his pillow with the one remaining tooth.

Logan felt good about this plan and luckily the Tooth Fairy honored the note and left him $10 ($5 for each tooth)!;) But, if he starts losing more than 1 tooth at a time regularly, the Tooth Fairy told mom that she may have to renegotiate her pricing to $2.50/tooth:)

Such a big boy now!!!
