This little cheeser was VERY excited to start school again! He was, however, a little nervous about going to a different school because he loved his last teacher Mrs. Dieu and his classmates. I assured him that he will love his new teacher, Mrs. R, and will make a lot of new friends. He felt comforted and was easily distracted by his excitement over his new Cars backpack!
When we picked up Daners after his first day he said it was awesome, but it took "fromever"! This school is 3 hours, 3 days a weeks where his school last year was 2 hours, 2 days a week. So, the longer time will take some getting used to, but he was thrilled that one of the kids from his old school was in his class again!
He was excited to come home and play with Logan (his school starts 2 weeks after Dane's), Beau, Grandma, and Grandpa! Riding Plasma Cars is probably one of the boys most favorite things to do. They can do the coolest tricks on them and can race each other for hours. I love it when they play outside together and burn off energy. It sure beats when they are cooped up inside fighting over the ipad! Annette and Brent are also really great with playing with the boys outside. They will even jump on the tramp with them! It is so great to have them play with the boys while I can rest and spend quality time with our new baby Reid. Also, Ben is able to finally get some work done:)
Dane's second day didn't go as well as the first. He actually came home crying because he misses his old teacher and classmate. It broke my heart:( But, I assured him that it will get better as he gets used to everything and to give it sometime. Sure enough, the third day went great especially because they got to bring a lunch to school!!! Dane thought this was the coolest thing ever and could not wait for school that day. He actually slept with his lunchbox that night and couldn't wait to make his lunch in the morning. He also is obsessed with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...his most favorite food ever! So, lots of excitement involved in his lunch:) I have no doubt that Daners will continue to like school and love it as much as last year. He is such a little character. So charismatic, funny, and silly. Never a dull moment with this little stinker and we love watching him grow and experience new things.
Ben and I always talk about what we think our kids will be like when they are older and we think Dane will always be the life of the party. He will always be a light-hearted little joker who's smile (love his curled nose when he smiles big) will brighten any room. People will be drawn to his fun personality. He also is incredibly smart and has loves to build things. He is absolutely obsessed with Hot Wheels tracks and loves to create his own tracks with all sorts of random things daily. His creativity and imagination blow me away. I foresee him being drawn to architecture or engineering. Whatever he does, we will be proud! Love this bug so much and love watching him and his brothers grow. So thankful to be their mommy:)
