Christmas in AZ

This year for Christmas it was our turn to spend it with my family and we were lucky enough to have everyone come here to sunny AZ! Julie and John arrived from Vegas late Monday night.
The next day was spent shopping and preparing for the festivities. The night of the 23rd we went out to Cafe Rio (yes, we do have one here!) and then to the Mesa Temple to see the Christmas lights.
It was chilly (45-50 degrees...which is REALLY cold for us) that night, but we all had fun and got some Dunkin Donuts white hot chocolate after...yum:)Logan LOVED the lights!
Christmas Eve was spent over at our house. We started with decorating cookies for Santa. The boys loved this and they especially loved getting messy and licking their sticky fingers! Trent had fun watching from a distance:)He is sitting up now...so cute:)
My dad and Paula arrived just in time for dinner. We made turkey dinner with all of the fixings (remind me never to do this again...if I can avoid it:))!It turned out really good (thank goodness) and everybody seemed to really like it!



After dinner we thought we would try our hand at the old Bryner tradition of reenacting the Nativity Scene. With 4 little boys under the age of 5, it was a little chaotic to say the least, but it was a lot of fun:) After our little production, little Sethie wasn't feeling very well, so Matt took Seth and Trent home and the rest of us watched the Luke II video and then Elf while sipping hot chocolate. It was a fun and festive night!

Christmas morning was spent over at the Roper's. We arrived at 7 am sharp for present opening.The kids were so excited that Santa liked the cookies that they made for him:) Everyone had a great time opening presents and Logan especially loved his little tricycle (from his mom and dad), his superhero cape (from Aunt Jen), and his wooden block truck (from Grandma and Grandpa Bryner)!
After opening the presents, Jen made us a delicious brunch and we spent the rest of the day hanging out together and enjoying the holiday. Thank you so much to all of our friends and family for all of the gifts and Christmas cards! You truly made this a wonderful Christmas! Also, we really appreciate Julie, John, Dad, Paula, and the Ropers for spending this Christmas with us...we had a blast and love you all so very much!
