3 Months!

Our little Beau Bugs is already 3 months and he is as cute as a button! He's smiling so much now and is starting to interact more and more everyday. He still is doing very well with sleeping during the night (he does 6-8 hour stretches nightly...so amazing), but takes short little cat naps throughout the day...maybe one 1 hour nap a day. He also loves to coo and bat at his hanging toys.

His brothers adore him...in their own way:) Logan is very protective and nurturing. I often hear him trying to mimic my baby voice and what I say to baby Beau...so cute:) Dane on the other hand, does "nice, soft touches" most of the time, but occasionally he will give him a wack, put a blanket over his head, or try to poke his eye out or something. He does it out of love (I hope or tell myself that), but as you can imagine, Beau is always in a very safe and secure location next to either Ben or I. Dane has taken having Beau really well, but he still is adjusting to not being the baby anymore and it will take some getting used to.

Beau has been a dream baby and we are so blessed to have this sweet little angel in our family!

7 Kids Under the Age of 7

Last weekend, it was our turn to watch all 7 of the little ones (our 3 and the Roper's 4) while Jen and Matt went to Vegas for their anniversary. The kids had a blast and the weekend went much better than expected, which was great! We even were brave enough to take them all out into public:) We went to the park Friday morning and to Chuck-E-Cheese that night then to Chick-fil-a for lunch Saturday afternoon. You can imagine the looks we got from people...7 kids under the age of 7! The kids were all surprisingly well behaved and were enjoying every minute together so it was fun to pretend we had 7 kids just for the weekend;) My co-worker always teases me about our upcoming TLC show, which he calls "Jess and Ben Make 10"...I don't know about having 8 kids, but after the weekend was over, just having our 3 again seemed very easy and the possibility of having more (not 8 mind you) in the (far)future was an exciting thought:)

During the weekend the big kids swam a lot and we also did a pizza, popcorn, and movie night, which they all loved. Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

Last Soccer Game of Season 3

Wow, Logan's season 3 came and went before we knew it. He had a great time this season and has continued to improve and love the game more and more. He also really loves his teamates, especially Anderson and Wayne! Since it is already 100+ degrees here, we are going to forego a summer season, which isn't even offered by his league because it would be CRAZY in this hot weather! So, he will practice his skills in our backyard with Daners over the summer and play again in the Fall.

6 Years!

For Ben and I's 6th wedding anniversary, we went to Vegas for the weekend...with no kids! Jen and Matt were nice enough to watch our kids for 4 days (we will have our turn watching their kids in a couple weeks) so we could go and play! We stayed at Aria at City Center and had a wonderful time going to shows, eating out at fabulous restaurants, shopping, and catching up on some much needed SLEEP!

Happy Anniversary Ben! I love you more everyday and am so thankful to have you as my sweet hubby for all time and eternity!

Logan's Preschool Graduation

I cannot believe that my little Logi has already completed his first year of preschool! He LOVES going to school and LOVES to learn everything that he can...he is such a sponge! He also really enjoys making friends and staying busy. He started his first year of preschool going to Mrs. Keesler's. He loved her and had so much fun there. Sadly, her son was diagnosed with ALL and due to this new unforeseen trial in her life she understandably had to stop teaching preschool to take care of her son. He is doing well, which is great and Logan will always remember the fun he had at Mrs. Keesler's house.

So we were in search of a new preschool for Logan to finish out the year. Luckily, Ms. Teressa (also another preschool teacher in our ward) was kind enough to take Logan even in the middle of the school year and he was the only 3 year old in the class! At first I was worried about how he would adapt to the change and being with all 4 year olds, but he transitioned beautifully! He was challenged with Kindergarten level academics, but he really did well and learned a lot. Since all of the other students are going to Kindergarten this Fall, he was definitely the youngest, but he can hold his own. He is pretty mature acting for his age and loves to play with older kids (like his big cousins Wade and Seth) so he did just fine even though not all of the kids in the class liked to play with the "little kid."

Logan has shown to adapt to almost any situation really well and make the most of it, which is a great personality trait he inherited from his daddy who has mastered the art of going with the flow (mommy wishes she were better at this:)). He LOVED Ms. Teressa and she genuinely loved and cared about him, which is all I could ask for in a preschool teacher. Unfortunately, Logan won't be able to go to Ms. Teressa next year because she is moving to Utah. However, we are very happy for her...she is getting married, which is wonderful!

So, Logan will have to adapt to another new preschool this year, but it is good for him to get used to having new teachers every year...just like how it will be in elementary school. We were able to get into a new preschool taught by two ladies in our Stake. He will be with a couple friends that he knows so I am sure he will love this coming school year!

Logan's graduation program was soooo cute! They sang the cutest songs like, "It's Time to Move Along" and did the robot and other actions along with it. Logan was SO into it...so adorable...Ben and I were grinning cheek to cheek the whole time! They also recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang other cute songs. Then they showed a photo montage movie, which made me tear up...so cute. Ms. Teressa did such a great job and was an amazing teacher! We will miss her!

By the time Logan goes to Kindergarten, he will have 3 preschool graduations under his belt...he will be a pro! It is so fun to experience all of these things with him for the first time...my baby is growing up! Congrats Logi on your big accomplishment! We love you:)

Beau is 2 Months!

Wow! I can't believe how fast time flies when you are busy taking care of 3 little trouble makers...well, actually 2...Beau is still in training:) They really keep us on our toes, but we are loving it...they are so much fun! Anyway, Beau had his 2 month appointment last week and he is doing so well! Here are his stats:

• Weight: 12 lbs 6 oz (59%)
• Height: 23 in (44%)
• Head: 15 1/2 in (35%)

He is eating and sleeping well, cooing, holding his head up surprisingly well, and smiling all of the time! He truly is such a sweetheart! He loves when we sing to him and when his brothers are around him (as long as they are not trying to poke out his eyes:)). He is such a blessing to our family and we can't wait for all of his many milestones to come! We love you baby Beau bugs!

Beau's Blessing Day

Since my dad had a work trip to AZ already planned and the date worked better for other family members, we decided to bless our sweet baby boy at our house (because it wasn't a Fast Sunday) on Mother's Day Sunday. It was a beautiful event (a little chaotic with all of the kids running around, but that was expected:)) and we felt very blessed to have so much family there to support us! In Beau's blessing circle was, of course, Ben (who gave a beautiful blessing for our little angel!), Bishop Farr, Matt, Clark, and Sam. Ben's parents wanted so badly to come, but since they couldn't make it (they were just here in March for Beau's birth) they asked if we could Skype the blessing. With our Bishop's approval, Annette, Brent, Katie, and Tom tuned in via Skype from Logan, UT! It seemed a little unusual at first, but it was really great to have them there through the magic of technology! Now, my dad says that he isn't going to come to anything anymore and we can just Skype him for all big events...ha, ha, he's not getting off the hook that easy, anyway, he isn't that tech savvy...he still needs help sending an email...love you dad:)

It was such a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day! I feel sooo blessed to have 3 amazing, healthy, and sweet little boys! Thank you dad and Paula, the Ropers, Clark and Lindsay, Sam, Bishop Farr, and the Bryners (via Skype) for coming to support us and our sweet baby Beau! We love you!
