Here we go again for another soccer season! This is Logan's 8th season and Dane's 2nd. So far, Logi is really feeling this season and is more aggressive than ever! He is getting so good...it is exciting! He is still playing with the same team he has been with for about 4 seasons or so and his friend Reagan Shakespear joined the team! Dane has a new team this season that is all boys, which he really likes. But, Daners is still trying to figure out how much he really cares about playing the game or just eating snacks and goofing off on the sidelines. We'll see how the season plays out for our little character:)

Glasses for Logan
A couple weeks ago, Logan's teacher noticed him squinting and struggling to see the chalkboard in class. So, she mentioned that he might need an eye exam and we are very glad that we did it. Logan ended up having a severe astigmatism and is very nearsighted. The doctor said that he was happy that we didn't wait to bring him in any longer because usually kids who have undiscovered eye problems by the age 6 (Logan will be 6 this July) will often start developing a lazy eye or other vision problems due to all of the straining. Luckily, no lazy eyes for Logi and sadly, he inherited both mommy and daddy's horrible eyes! So, the solution...glasses worn all the time (except for sleep) until he is "responsible" enough for contacts. At first, he was sad that he was going to have to wear glasses, but after he started trying them on, he was stoked! He was especially excited to pick out his sports glasses (which ever one he wanted...yes, he had to pick the skulls!) for soccer as long as I approved of the every day glasses. That deal worked for him and he was one happy boy!
When his glasses were done and he put them on for the first time, he said, "I can see better than I have in my entire life!" It was so cute, but made me sad that he has been struggling to see for who knows how long? I just thought he liked to watch tv standing directly in front of it...that did flag a bit of worry, but that was our only sign. Also, last Christmas, he kept doing this eye twitch/face pulling blink thing for about a week, but it went away. We will most likely get Dane and Beau checked our soon, just to be safe:) After his first full day of wearing his glasses, Logan said, "Everyone loves my glasses!" He is getting used to them more and more every day and has to take less "breaks" from them each day too. They still kinda hurt his ears, but I think that he is realizing the benefits of wearing them...the poor little guy can finally see!:)
So exhausted after a long day of school. He is still my sweet little baby:)

Couple Firsts for Daners
Daners is FINALLY a SUNBEAM!!! With having a February birthday, Dane has been the old/big nursery kid for some time and is WAY ready for primary! So far he loves it, but occasionally tries to sneak back into the nursery room to play with the toys.
Another first for Daners, his first invite to a birthday party from a friend! He was sooooo excited to go from the moment I read the invitation to him. The party was for a boy in his Sunbeam class who he loves so that made him extra excited to go! It was a pirate party at the park and he loved every minute of it! He came home with some cute party favors that he literally toted around for a week plus! Logan and Beau were very jealous of his pirate's booty:)
Daners is such a cutie bug and makes me laugh constantly. He is growing up too fast:( Love you so much bud!
