The Opening of Cars' Land!

Yes, we there on the opening day of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Land and, yes, it was totally crazy!!! When we planned to go to Disneyland with my sisters and their families, we had no idea it was opening weekend until it was too late:) It was also Father's Day weekend which we also realized later...sorry dads:) Happy Father's Day;)!
This is Dane the night before we left to Disneyland. Saying he was excited would be an understatement!!! He slept with his backpack on and all packed and ready to go! Daners is our little Disneyland fanatic...he is obsessed! He talks about Disneyland at least 5 times a day on average. Luckily, this trip to Disney didn't disappoint!
Opening day of Cars Land!!! The line to get into Disney California Adventure Land snaked and completely filled the area between to two parks! People had been in line for hours before the park opened at 9am. Disney workers were urging people to hurry and get their hand stamped because they were predicting reaching capacity and if your hand wasn't stamped then they wouldn't let you in...crazy! Luckily, the parks didn't reach capacity that day, but I am sure it was close.
They even had a Goodyear Blimp flying above the parks for the big event!
We were not about to brave the line to get into Cars Land so we decided to hit Disneyland before the crowds did. Our first ride was our kid's all time favorite ride, Buzz Lightyear!
First time ever that there was no line to get my favorite Disney treat...a Dole Whip Float...yes!!!
After the park had been open for about an hour, we thought most of the chaos may have subsided...we were wrong! Shoulder to shoulder crowds and lines that were hours long!
The biggest ride had a 6 hour wait and the other two were about half that.
The Tow Mater ride didn't look like the wait was that bad, but two hours later we finally got our turn. It was fun, but not 2 hour wait fun! It was like waiting 2 hours to ride the Tilt-A-Whirl at Lagoon. Oh well, I guess it was a historical day and experience...I keep telling myself that;)

Still in line for Tow Mater!

 Yes, ride time!

We all loved it and LOVED to be done waiting int line!!!

Yay, time to meet up with everyone!
With 9 kids under the age of 8 in tow, we are used to all of the dirty looks people give us. Come on people, it is Disneyland!!! Where else can a kid be crazy?!

Wade, Seth, and Logi stole Daner's leash. Boys will be boys!
Jaxey loved this spot on our stroller...so cute:)
New to California Adventure and much appreciated by the Rasmussen sisters...Jen especially!!!
The Carousel is always a Bryner fave!
 The look of ambition:)
 The Nygard Family:)
 Treny Tron!

Such a cute pics of these two little trouble makers:)

Daner's has quite the mischievous look back there:)
 Cute cousins:)
 The sisters!
Captain Eo time! The Roper kids are obsessed with Michael Jackson, which has been starting to trickle over to our boys. The Rasmussen sisters have always been die hard MJ fans, so this is always a special treat!
Love the glasses! Love the drool! Love my little Beau Bugs!!!
Cutie pie:)
Day two!!! This trip, Logi was tall enough to ride all of the rides even Indiana Jones...so fun!
 Silly little monkeys!
Just missing Beau and Case. Not bad!

All of the kids were star struck when they saw Lightning McQueen!!!
By day two, Cars Land was a little less crowed, but Tow Mater was still the only ride that the wait wasn't too crazy. I think we waited 30 minutes this time...not bad! All in all we had a great time at Disneyland and the best part of all was being all together...so fun!!! I love my fam:) Next time we come, we are going to bring my dad heavily sedated and wheel him around in a wheel chair! That is the ONLY way we could get him there! Dad, sorry we had a family without you...love you!

Last Day of ISR for Beau

After 6 weeks + of Infant Swim Survival Lessons (ISR), Monday-Friday for 10 minutes each day, Beau can float and potentially save himself if, heaven forbid, ever needed! He loved his teacher so much, but I think, he just really doesn't like swimming. He cried through every lesson up until the last week! The lessons are quite the commitment, but well worth it especially living in Arizona where drownings are a daily occurrence. ISR gives us one extra strong layer of protection among many others to avoid any close calls. We are proud of our little Beau Beau for all of his hard work! We are happy to be done until next year's refresher course!

The instructor was kind enough to let Logan and Dane swim too the last week! She even worked with Logan on his strokes and REALLY helped him get the hang of it!

Dane has a mischievous look even under water:)

Logan was also taking his first strokes class at the Seville Club twice a week during the month of June. Both he and Daners are swimming like little fish thanks to ISR!!! Beau will be swimming (not just floating) next year!

Bye Bye Curly Mullet

Beau Beau has the cutest little curls, but they are starting to straighten out and look more and more like a mullet:) Time for his second hair cut!

Before:

After:
Now he looks like a big Bryner boy with his new faux hawk!
I was sad cutting off those sweet little curls...tear:( But, it was time. The mullet was starting to take over:) As your daddy always says, "looking good feeling good!"

Beau is 15 Months!

Wow, that went fast! Beau Beau is becoming such a big boy! He is starting to evolve from his crazy fast crawling, to knee walking, to walking. He still is favoring mainly the knee walking...so funny and he is really fast and good at it! Everyday, he walks more and more, but for now it is just a novelty thing to him. He loves how we cheer and scream every time he walks!

His top and bottom molars are still trying to cut all the way through and they look super painful...poor Beau Beau:( I think that his teething has affected his eating. He only really likes to eat green beans, rice cereal, yogurt, pretzels, apple sauce, raisins, fish crackers, bananas, chips, tomato soup, rolls, milk, and water. It is shocking if I can get him to eat anything else, but I still try to push new foods. Hopefully, after his molars come through, his appetite will come back.

Beau LOVES story time! He especially loves, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," "Peak a Who?," "That's Not My Dragon!," "The Very Hungry Bear, " and his Baby Einstein Language and Animal cards. He loves to point at everything and say "ooooh." Every animal he sees he points at and makes a growling noise. We are still working on animal sounds:) He can say "uh oh," "ball, " and "apple." He waves, blows kisses, claps, and gives high 5's. He loves to dance to any song he hears and loves it when I sing to him...any song! His most favorite thing to do is probably throw balls or anything he gets his little hands on. He has quite the arm! He also likes to drive little cars around. He loves to wrestle around with his brothers and loves to tease Dane. Dane has finally met his match! He loves it when Logan picks him up even though it looks painful:) He is still totally obsessed with his binkie and blankie.
He only has 3 more days left of his Infant Survival Swim lessons, which have been going M-F 10 min each day for 6 weeks! He just started to stop crying through the entire lesson this Friday. Too bad they are almost over, but we are ready to be done. He is doing great, but swimming everyday has been killer on his skin! His eczema has totally flared up! At his 15 month Well Check appointment, he was prescribed cephalexin suspension for the eczema that had become infected plus triamcinolone ointment. The doctor also recommended only bathing with Cetaphil cleanser and applying the triamcinolone and Cetaphil lotion nightly. His skin is definitely starting to improve, but probably won't clear up until swim lessons are over.

Here are his stats from his 15 month appointment:

  • Weight: 21 lbs (30%)
  • Height: 31 1/2 in (65%)
  • Head: 18 1/2 in (56%)
He is doing very well and his ears are still clear and tubes intact. I can't believe how big he is getting! He is such a little goof ball and has so much energy! He is such a perfect mix of Logan and Dane! He loves to play and be silly. He also is a little cuddle bug and such a sweetheart! He is an amazing sleeper! He goes to bed at 7pm and doesn't wake up until 7:30 or 8am. He has the sweetest smile and I love his little voice and laugh:) We love this little boy so very much and could not imagine our family without him!
