Pre-Christmas Festivities

Chris (our Elf on the Shelf) came back from the North Pole to visit us again this year! The kids were amazed how Chris rang the doorbell all by himself when he first arrived:)
 That story never gets old!
He hid in all sorts of crazy places and the kids were so excited to find him each morning!

We felt like the Duggers (minus a few kids) for a week! It was now Jen and Matt's turn to go to NYC so our turn to watch the kiddos. It was a little crazy around here to say the least,
but the kids had a blast together!

We had cupcakes for Ry's 2nd birthday. It was so fun to feel like I had a girl even just for a week! It was like playing Barbies! Ry loves to have multiple wardrobe changes throughout the day so she was able to go through all of her outfits quick:) I definitely need practice in the hair department. Most of the time, I just resorted to the Pebbles look to keep her hair from getting in her runny nose.
She looks adorable no matter what!

We took them to Peter Piper, McDonald's, the big boys to see The Muppets, and had a lot of fun at home!
After the Ropers left, we set up our Christmas decorations (even though we were leaving for UT in a week, we didn't want the kids to miss out on the fun). The kids were so excited to finally open their pre-Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa Bryner. It was a huge Fisher Price Nativity set...the kids LOVED it!!!

Since the kids are getting older, it makes all of the Christmas traditions a lot more fun and meaningful. They loved decorating the tree! Logan was great at making sure there were no bare spots on our tree.

  Hot chocolate break!

Beau loved the tree and loved to ravage it even more! Thankfully he is not too mobile yet:)
Finished product!

 Beau's first Christmas tree!
He would not wear that Santa hat for the life of him!
Christmas cupcakes did not run short of the sugar rush they are intended! The kids loved to go crazy with the toppings and then just lick all of the frosting off without eating the cupcake
(a little trick they learned from the Ropers)!
Bring on Christmas!!!

Mesa Temple Lights (Part 3 of Thanksgiving Weekend)

It was so fun this year to share our annual Mesa Temple Lights tradition with so many family members! They loved it and the weather was perfect! We hardly even needed jackets! Such a great way to kick off the Christmas Season!

Wade's Baptism (Part 2 of Thanksgiving Weekend)

Wow! I CANNOT believe that little Waders is 8 and now baptized! I remember when he was born and how I was always soooo excited to see my first little nephew! Now he is all grown up:) It was such a great idea of Jen's to have his baptism Thanksgiving weekend! Wade was baptized and confirmed by his day who did an amazing job! My dad gave a wonderful talk about the Holy Ghost...so special that he could do that for Wade on his big day! Congrats Wade! We love you!

Whirl Wind Weekend Part 1

Since most of our family was in town for Thanksgiving, we all went to Peter Piper Pizza on Black Friday to celebrate the many December birthdays (Dad, Rylee, Grandma Chloe, and Ben). Happy Birthday!!!
